Reviews

"Taylor spent 39 years in elementary education -- first as a teacher, then as a principal and administrator, and ultimately as president of the New Mexico Education Association -- before he was elected to the New Mexico House of Representatives in 1986. He was responsible for bringing bilingual education to Las Cruces public schools in 1969, and from the earliest days of his career he emphasized the importance of educating people of all socioeconomic levels and displayed great pride in his Hispanic culture and heritage."

Reviews

"Pacheco's well-written book -- illustrated with a wealth of historical photographs -- brims with compelling details culled from interviews with Taylor."
